Victorinox Hunter Pro M alox biltong knife
A beautiful and special piece of meat that took several days to prepare should only be cut with a top quality knife. And this Victorinox pocket knife is perfect for cutting biltong, I have found out.
I am a knife enthusiast and own several top quality knives because...eh... I just do and since I bought this Victorinox Hunter pocket knife this is my preferred knife to cut biltong with. By far.
My Buck 110 Hunter pocket knife used to be my preferred biltong cutter but this Victorinox Hunter Pro M alox is so much better, far more comfortable in the hand, opens with one hand, lighter and/but still more steady in the hand because of the superior grip, that I don't use anything else anymore. The Buck has been retired. (Thanks buddy, I'll never forget you.)
A knife from the renowned Swiss knife manufacturer Victorinox, the brand that became known as the maker of the famous red Swiss army knife with its many functions.
That red pocket knife, the Victorinox Camper to be precise, has been in my knife collection for over 40 years, started the collection in fact, and the Hunter is the modern interpretation of how a pocket knife that is primarily used for cutting (...) should be. The Hunter is a size larger because when you cut you need full control over your knife and those biltongs can be quite wide and thick. The knife can be opened with one hand because we now live in the 21st century and has an aluminum ribbed handle that ensures that you have a precise grip on the knife. Safety always comes first.
